Hello pawsome new friend!  My name is Cherie and I’m a surfing French Bulldog from Newport Beach, California!  I was born on September 20, 2011 somewhere in Texas before being surrendered to the French Bulldog Rescue Network because my family didn’t have time for me.  My sweet and amazing foster mommy Miss Linda brought me to Southern California and FBRN found me a forever home in March 2012 with my mommy, daddy and brother Ace.

I’m a special little girl.  I’m super happy and I’m fearless!  Unlike most Frenchies, I absolutely LOVE the water.  The very first time I visited Rosie’s Dog Beach in Long Beach, I hit the sand and immediately started playing with the big dogs in the water.  I became known for rocking my life jacket at our Frenchie meet-ups at the beach and because of that, a friend suggested that we check out Dog Surfing lessons in Del Mar, California.  After the first lesson, I was hooked!  I love playing in the water with my daddy and have so much fun with all of my fellow surFURS.

I’ve competed in a number of competitions since 2013 and have raised thousands of dollars for charity along the way.  It’s extremely important to me to give back to rescue organizations because if it wasn’t for them, I probably would’ve been sold on Craig’s List.  I’ve had the good fortune of also appearing on TV a few times including The All-Star Dog Rescue Celebration, Nightline and Good Morning America.  I love to raise awareness for both dog surfing and rescue pups.
